Once upon a time...
I began my unconventional journey into nurturing families back in 1996 with the birth of my first son. I studied the Bradley Natural Method of Childbirth and had the most incredible, beautiful birth experience imaginable. Faced with being a single parent when my son was still an infant, I decided to become a Bradley Instructor so that I could do something I strongly believed in and help others have the kind of birth experience I had. And the journey continued....

The needs of the pregnant mom are many..
After beginning my teaching career as a Certified Bradley Instructor and Childbirth Educator, I soon realized the needs of the pregnant mom are not always met by their medical support team.
After working with hundreds of my new families, I saw a tremendous need for support and education not only through the pregnancy but afterwards during the postpartum period of adjustment.
I am proud to be a postpartum doula through DONA, offering even more services and support to the new family.

I expanded my services and skill set, and became a prenatal massage therapist and birth doula, specializing in aromatherapy in order to help the laboring mother and her birth team through her pregnancy and labor process.

I had a dream....and Pregnatique is it!
Assisting the pregnant woman and her birth team through the pregnancy, and to see them experience the unforgettable, beautiful birth they were so grateful to achieve was tremendously fulfilling for me, yet it still wasn't enough. I wanted to be there for them not only through the birth process but beyond to help them integrate their new families, succeed with breastfeeding and to help them navigate through the uncertain waters of parenthood. My happiest, most fulfilling moments are when I see a new life come into the world, and then to watch two people join their lives with this new one and become a family.

Pregnatique is a marriage of "pregnant" and "boutique" and it is my dream of providing a nurturing space for expectant couples and new families to feel pampered, to have their questions answered and their fears calmed.
